This is to inform you that some vendors are intercepting
passengers and introducing themselves as hotel representatives
at the Aeropuerto Internacional de Zihuatanejo. When people
arrive they ask them for their hotel name and pretend that they
are working for the hotels.
They would take the passengers to the airport taxi or vans area,
charge them whatever they want and try to convince them to go to
other hotels.
We had four seniors last January that were over-charged by
these vendors. We found out that they had paid an outrageous
amount of money for the van service.
Please be careful. When you arrive at the airport, please go
directly to the counter to get your transportation tickets. It is
located just in front of the sliding doors, opposite to the car rental
area. Buy your tickets there.

pesos. - The cost per person in a van:$115 pesos.
- The rent of a van for up to 8 passengers is $580
pesos - The taxi service from the hotel to the airport is $180
pesos or $240 with air conditioning.
